Urban freight logistics

Reducing urban air pollution and congestion includes promoting efficient freight logistics services and new concepts for goods distribution. The new distribution schemes cover measures that look to improve the efficiency of goods’ distribution relying on information systems that support clean road vehicles. This includes logistics schemes/policies/plans, which may encompass improved load rates (freight consolidation), goods’ distribution centres and tracking systems as well as home- and Park-and-Ride site- delivery.
