Information and Awareness among Consumers

The general lack of knowledge and education on low carbon technologies among urban residents can hinder the implementation of such projects. The phenomenon often manifests itself through societal resistance to change. Energy consumers, citizens or businesses, are often just passive energy users, while their energy expenses only represent a small portion of their income. Therefore, most people are not concerned with issues of clean energy production, nor are they familiar with the viability of such projects. Ultimately, without a comprehensive information campaign and reliable sources of advice, urban residents can show reluctance to low carbon technologies and renewable energy sources.
