Final Event: The Future of Government 2030+
06 March 2019
You are welcome to join an upcoming event on March, 6 at the European Parliament in the morning and the European Commission in the afternoon
The event will close the innovative “Future of Government “ project and launch an engagement tool/game to raise a debate around the possible new interactions between citizens and governments of all levels in 2030 and beyond.
The event will be hosted by Members of the European Parliament Brando Benifei (S&D), Ivan Jakovcic (ALDE) and Franc Bogovic (EPP). It will gather various stakeholders, policy makers, CSOs, industry representatives, academics in the area of political science, public administration and design, as well as students of design who participated into the project.
The Future of Government 2030+ project brings citizens to the centre of attention. The wellbeing of people and society, as a key target of governmental decisions and activities, beside creating and maintaining sound conditions for businesses and environment, is emphasized. The project addresses the question in a novel way by combining design and foresight approaches with citizen engagement methods, with special focus given to citizens’ insights.
This event will start a dialogue on preferred models of government for the future. We invite the audience to dive into possible futures concepts and shape the future by playing the FuturGov game.
At the end of the day, ideas will draw up on new forms of political decision-making and public service delivery and on how to get prepared for it.
