New SCIS Publication: Why May Replication (Not) Be Happening?

The present policy analysis investigates the reasons why replication of smart urban energy, mobility and ICT solutions for a clean energy future occurs with difficulty. While evidence from smart city projects suggests that the devil is often in the details, it is at the same time possible to identify common mechanisms that appear to hamper replication. The present paper identifies and discusses some of these major barriers. Opportunities for overcoming them are suggested.

SCIS at EUROCITIES annual conference 2018

The EUROCITIES Conference 2018 took place in Edinburgh on 28-30 November and focussed on the place of culture in driving successful, inclusive and prosperous cities and enriching the quality of life of our citizens.

New SCC1 Projects: +CityxChange and MAKING-CITY

The European Commission's H2020 LC-SC3-SCC-1-2018-2019-2020 call has resulted in two new Smart City projects that we welcome to our family of European Lighthouse Projects.

The two new projects are:
